If you think you’re funny, you could earn money. Really.

CoolCatTeacher [aka Vickie Davis] posted this site on Twitter which, BTW, is THE place to involve yourself in legitimate eavesdropping in 140 characters or fewer: TYPE TEES.

If you think you’re funnier than any of the shirts there, then try this:

Submit a slogan! If we print it, you get $500!

Will you join me in The Ten Dollar Blessing Challenge?

Filed under: Uncategorized — Christa Allan @ 8:14 am

It all started with Billy Coffey’s post the Ten Dollar Blessing and a Lesson in Circles. [go there now and read his post. We'll wait. . . ]

After reading Billy’s story, Tina Howard of spaghettipie, didn’t want to leave well enough alone. She thought of a plan to increase, to make sure it wouldn’t be alone. As she says, “Financially, life is difficult. The market is crazy, budgets are tight . . . we feel unstable and insecure. And yet, I still have much: a car, a home, a family, a meal on the table, etc. How do I let stories like Theresa a10-dollar-blessingnd her mother and projects like the Advent Conspiracy change me? Change how I act? Change how I love others?”

Here’s her idea:

Ten Dollar Blessing Challenge.

1. Get a $10 bill (or 2), and put it in your wallet or purse.
2. Pray for an opportunity.
3. Give the $10 bill away . . . to someone begging on the side of the road, to cover lunch for the person sitting alone at the table next to yours, to pay for something the person behind you is buying, to the single mom in your kid’s class who’s struggling to make ends meet.

Click HERE to read the whole story from Tina and how to write about your experiences.

The challenge begins December 1st. Join me in joining Tina in this challenge to bless others.

The MOTHER of all Christmas Gifts

Filed under: Faith — Tags: Christmas — Christa Allan @ 11:03 am

I’m not entirely sure how I first tripped across this project. I think it might have been a Twitter post, but maybe not. Doesn’t matter, really. I’m just glad that I found it, and now I can share it.

It’s called the MOTHER LETTER PROJECT and, in his own words, here’s what this husband is doing:

I am creating my wife’s Christmas present-the Mother Letter Project. Simply stated, I am collecting a series of “open letters” from mothers, to mothers. Share your stories—no matter how raw or difficult. Share you concerns—no matter how foolish they may seem. Share your wisdom—no matter how you came by it. Share your mother story. The only request? Start the letter “Dear Mother” and sign it. I will compile all of the letters in a Christmas book for my wife.

I have no idea as to the identity of this man or his wife, but God bless him! What a husband and father. If you want to participate, here’s the link: The Mother Letter Project.

I think it’s a book waiting to happen…and you could be in it…
