more about “Coolest Video EVER!!“, posted with vodpod
My friend Jo-Anne Clough sent me this in an email because she thought it would be right up my blog-alley, and she was right. The most awesome aspect of Jo-Anne and I being friends is that we’ve never met! Well, not face-to-face, just email to email, phone-to-phone, and heart-to-heart.
During my year of working on National Board for Professional Teaching certification, I was the only teacher in my high school and the only high school English teacher in the parish working on my portfolio. It’s a lonely, frustrating, and discouraging place to be! I met Jo-Anne in an online forum, and she graciously provided her phone number for me to call if/when I needed help. Call? You betcha! And she never failed to provide exactly what I needed. When she heard the news that I passed my boards, she sent me a lovely angel (I collect them, but she didn’t know that at the time) with the inscription: “Faith is held close to our hearts.”
We’ve known one another over a year, shared Grammy stories and teacher tribulations and life’s challenges. She’s also been a cheerleader for my writing, celebrated my signing with Rachelle, and continues to believe that she’ll one day hold a book with my name on it (as long as it’s not one listing America’s Most Wanted profiles).
I’ve learned in my life that God provides people who can lift me up, urge me onward, push me through, and share my joy. All I have to do is reach out and ask for help. One day, Jo-Anne and I will have that face-to-face meeting, but in the meantime, technology will keep us together! Thanks for sharing this amazing video.

Christa,
I, too, would love to meet face to face. You have inspired me with your upbeat, ceaseless, loving ways through writing. I was proud to be a facilitator during NBCT, but remember, you are the one who did it, I was the cheerleader!
That meeting will come soon, I am sure, in the meantime….WHERE’S THE BOOK??? :)
