Just in case you’re wondering what to be thankful for this year. . .

This photo is unsettling. Kevin Carter took the photo, chased the vulture away, and the girl resumed her way to the food line. Afterward, Kevin Carter “sat under a tree, lit a cigarette, talked to God, and cried.”

Christa, I’m so used to clicking on links that I was completely unprepared for this.

I pray it does not fade quickly from the memories of those who see it.

This will take me some time for me to process. Five minutes ago I was really hungry, because the last meal I ate was 17 hrs ago. I was mostly done eating a simple bowl of cereal and yogurt when I clicked on this post. That small meal is sitting pretty heavily right now.
